The adoptive parents of her are both Filipinos and her white American father is a had military experience. The zoomed-in video of her rhythmically jumping and lip-syncing to the melody was a huge hit and became one of the most-viewed TikTok videos ever. She started her YouTube and Twitter accounts during the time following joining TikTok to take advantage of the growing popularity. The adulation of Poarch's growing fame reached its peak at the end of December in 2020. According to reports, she piqued two professional Esports team's attention.
